Head Coach: Jacob Schumacher
Jacob Schumacher enters his second season as Head Coach for the Falcons and his third year as a member of the SLHS staff. He graduated in 2007 from Bristol Eastern High School in Bristol CT, where he competed in football, track & field, and basketball.
After high school, he attended Concordia University Chicago where he participated in football until he had a career ending knee surgery. After rehabbing his knee, he was asked to be an assistant football coach. In the four years he spent at Concordia, the Cougars went 34-9 including three 8-2 seasons and a 10-1 record in 2012. The Cougars won two Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) championships and made an NCAA III playoff appearance in 2012.
Jacob graduated from Concordia in 2013 with a B.A in Secondary Education Computer Science and a second B.A. in Computer Information Systems.
Jacob and his wife Becky were married in 2013 and currently reside in Carson City.
He feels very blessed to be the Head Coach of Sierra Lutheran's new football program. Christ is the cornerstone of Falcon Football and Coach Schumacher's goal is to use the game of football as a vehicle to help develop his players into strong Christian men.
